Job Details
Brierley Hill Primary School is looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant from autumn 2024. We are a one-form entry school, catering for pupils from 3-11 years old. We are situated within the borough of Dudley, in the heart of the Black Country.

The successful candidate must hold a relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning at NVQ 3 as a minimum requirement for the job.
Level 3 Teaching Assistants work with a level of autonomy under the supervision of a classroom teacher to:
• Undertake work / care / support programmes
• To enable access to learning and to assist a teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom
• To support teaching staff in the development and education of pupils including the provision of specialist skills as appropriate
• implementing agreed work programmes with individuals/groups and support teaching staff in the development and education of pupils including the provision of detailed and specialist skills/knowledge in particular areas.
• assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and supervise whole classes or groups during the short-term absence of a teacher.

All staff in school will be expected to accept reasonable flexibility in working arrangements and the allocation of duties in pursuance of raising pupil achievement. Any changes will take account of salary/ status/hours and will be subject to discussion, in accordance with the guidance note on contractual changes.
