2nd in Department English – Responsible for KS5
MPS/UPS + TLR 2b (£5,425)* pending % increase
Start date: 1st January 2025
The directors are seeking to appoint an ambitious English teacher with a proven track record of success in the classroom. We are looking for a candidate with a love of teaching English, flair, drive and imagination to support the further development of the English curriculum particularly within Sixth Form. The successful candidate will work with our Head of Faculty to ensure that up to date and relevant research informs teaching and learning and curriculum within the department. The role will have a reduced teaching allocation to support the successful candidate work within the department to achieve these aims.
St Thomas More Catholic Academy is an 11-18 mixed Catholic comprehensive school with 1161 students on roll which has an excellent reputation throughout the area. On 1 November 2013 St Thomas More together with four primary academies formed the All Saints' Catholic Collegiate (MAC). Applications are invited from all denominations.
