Languages Assistant
Fixed Term initially to 31 August 2025
6 hours per week - 43.89 weeks per year
NJC Grade 6, SCP 7-11 (£24,294 - £25,979 pro rata) (£3,316 - £3,546 actual salary)
Required for immediate start
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual, who enjoys working with children, to join our Modern Foreign Languages department as a French Languages Assistant. The successful candidate should have an understanding of how to support students with learning a second language. This position will involve supporting students in the classroom under the direction of the class teacher. Applicants should be fluent in French, have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and motivate students to achieve high standards.
Applicants must have:
- GCSEs at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English and maths
- Fluency in French
- An understanding of how to support students with learning a second language.
- Ideally be a native speaker of the language with recent experience in a French speaking country.
