Apprentice Teaching Assistant Level 3
Location: Old Hall, Bentley Lane, Walsall, WS2 7LU
Accountable to: Deputy Head teacher and Assistant Head teachers
Contract: Apprenticeship period - 24 months
32.5 hours a week, term time only
Salary: The National Minimum Wage for an apprentice from April 2024 is £6.40 an hour.
Apprentices will be paid at least the minimum wage rate for their age if they are aged 19 or over AFTER completing their first year.
Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that is part of their apprenticeship.
Qualifications required: GCSE English and Mathematics Grade A-C or equivalent is preferred but not essential if you do not have the relevant grades you will be required to undertake Level 2 Functional Skills. A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is also desirable.

We are looking to appoint a kind, caring, flexible and hardworking person to join our dedicated team of Teaching Assistants to support our pupils.
Old Hall School is a specialist setting in Walsall providing education to young people at EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, all of whom have a variety of SEND complexities. The post holder will be joining our vibrant team as we move forward and refine our excellence in nurturing, developing and shaping young lives.
