HLTA (Behaviour Support)
Quarry Bank Primary School is a happy, nurturing and caring school that aims to provide the highest quality education for children from 3 to 11 years in a fantastic, modern building – please see our virtual tour so you can see our school for yourself (http://aperture360.s3.amazonaws.com/tours/QUARRY-BANK/index.htm). We are a 1.5 form entry school with 45 children per year group.
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic HLTA who would spend half the week teaching across KS1/KS2 classes, with the other half of the week working alongside our pastoral team, enabling a nurture provision to proactively support children who need a slightly different curriculum to others. This is a permanent position within a caring, dedicated and friendly team who support one another to be their best. This is an exciting opportunity for a well-read, experienced and highly capable HLTA, who feels they are able to lead the practice and the development of a nurture style provision.
We are looking for a HLTA who:
- Puts children at the heart of everything they do
- Is passionate about supporting those with additional needs and understands the systems and record-keeping required to ensure best practice
- Is experienced in working with children with SEMH needs
- Is able to lead, plan and implement provision
- Is able to lead interventions and the relevant record-keeping
- Is able to work under close supervision and instruction, always willing to better themselves
- Is able to demonstrate significant initiative and forward thinking
- Enjoys teaching across KS1 or/and KS2
- Is well organised, thoughtful and able to work effectively in a team
- Is enthusiastic, energetic and creative
- Is self-motivated and determined to build upon their professional development
- Has the confidence needed to support and advise other practitioners
- Is a committed life-long learner who understand that challenge is how we grow
In return we can offer:
- A school that is continually reflecting on workload and wellbeing
- A caring and inclusive school with supportive and dedicated colleagues
- The opportunity to work alongside wonderful children
- A school community that supports our aims and vision for children at Quarry Bank
- A school culture that is rooted in psychological safety, one where we challenge directly but care personally
We have a dedicated and hardworking team of staff and are looking for someone to join our team. Quarry Bank Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and as such expects all schools, their staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
Visits to our school are warmly welcomed and tours of the school would be advised. Please arrange a visit through the school office (info@quarry.dudley.sch.uk)
