TEACHING ASSISTANTS REQUIRED

St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School (Weston) is looking for candidates to apply for the following posts. The posts begin on Monday 4^th November 2024.

Post 1. Teaching assistant – Maternity Cover – Grade 3

15 hours per week - TA Grade 3, FTE salary per annum £22,737 to £23,114, actual salary per annum £7,963 to £8,095.  Temporary post cover maternity leave.

This post requires the successful candidate to work supporting children on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and in class. This post is from 9.00am to 12.00pm Monday to Friday. As well as working with a range of children, we are looking for the successful candidate to deliver daily maths to a group of 5 children. The successful candidate will be supported by the SENCO and class teachers. An understanding of White Rose maths will be useful. It is expected that this position will be available until the end of June or early July 2025.

Post 2. Teaching assistant – Fixed term contract to 11^th April 2025 – Grade 3

15 hours per week - TA Grade 3, FTE salary per annum £22,737 to £23,114, actual salary per contract £3,518 starting 4^th November 2024.

This post is to work one-to-one with a child. The successful candidate will be required to work from 12.30pm until 3.30pm Monday to Friday. This post is fixed term because the child will be going to their next school in April 2025.

Candidates can apply for both posts. The successful candidate/s will be working with children who need additional support and so kindness, compassion and patience are important attributes for the positions. To understand what is involved more fully, a visit to the school is recommended.
