About You:

You will be a seasoned Personal Assistant (PA) with experience of supporting senior executives. You will have the following skills and experiences: -

 

Skills

  • The ability to work positively in a complex and multi-million-pound political organisation.
  • Be able to showcase resilience and calm during high-pressure situations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the confidence to engage with people at all levels.
  • A proven ability to manage complex schedules, multiple tasks, and reactive situations with grace.
  • Comfortable in handling sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software, such as those used for audio typing.

 

Experiences

  • A background in providing high-level support, particularly in a public sector or local government setting.
  • A proactive problem solver who can multitask and think ahead to provide solutions.
  • Providing a hospitable and welcoming environment for senior leaders and stakeholders.

 

Ultimately, our Chief Executive is looking for an individual who will support and enable her in all aspects of her role to ensure she can fulfill their duties effectively and efficiently for Warwickshire.

 

 

Key Responsibilities of a Personal Assistant (PA):

  • Provide direct, proactive, and confidential support to the Chief Executive, managing all correspondence, enquiries, travel arrangements, and diary management.
  • Act as the first point of contact for the Chief Executive's office, presenting a professional image and managing requests from internal and external sources.
  • Liaising with Councillors and MPs when needed
  • Oversee and co-ordinate meetings and events, this can include providing hospitality, preparing the necessary paperwork/materials, recording comprehensive minutes, tracking actions.
  • Anticipate needs, exercise sound judgment, and proactively assist the Chief Executive in discharging her strategic and managerial responsibilities.
  • Maintain and manage sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, enabling effective communication and interaction with the Chief Executive.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Support Team to ensure seamless operations and provide reliable cover during absences.
