About the Team
Warwickshire Music is the principal provider of music education in Warwickshire and is the lead organisation of the Warwickshire Music Hub. We teach over 12,000 pupils each week and provide instrumental, vocal and class music teaching in schools, community music centres and provide a wide range of ensembles and music groups each week for children & young people across Warwickshire.?
About the Role
We are currently looking for a Music Centre Helper to assist with the delivery of our Steel Pan ensembles. We are particularly keen to recruit someone who has experience either performing or teaching Steel Pans. Sessions take place after school on a Thursday, 15:30-18:30. Attendance will also be required at end of term concerts, which are usually held once a term on a Friday evening.?
We welcome applications from those new to working with children and young people and can provide support and training to enable ongoing professional development.
Key Requirements
Our helpers are expected to be committed, enthusiastic musicians and assistants who can inspire pupils and communicate with clarity, conviction and sensitivity. You will be organised, receptive to new ideas, and be able to work as part of a team of professionals dedicated the musical development and safeguarding of children and young people.
Pay
Pay is based upon hourly rates ranging from £11.98 - £12.18 per hour. Pay is annualised and paid as a monthly salary throughout the year. There may be opportunities to increase hours in response to demand. Travel expenses are also paid.
