Under the instruction/guidance of the Deputy Facilities Manager provide maintenance and security services on the Academy sites and premises. You will be based at one of our schools in Coventry but will be required to work at all of our sites nearby.
You will be responsible for the provision of a wide range of services, providing a safe, clean, warm and secure environment for all authorised users of the Academy and visitors on a late shift pattern.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
Lock/unlock Academy buildings and areas.
Undertake regular security checks and identify security risks.
Monitor fire safety equipment and carry out fire alarm testing
Operate and respond to alarm systems where appropriate
Undertake appropriate repairs e.g. redecorating and fixing
Undertake minor/simple repairs e.g. minor plumbing, changing light bulbs, unblocking drains
To organise and carry out various maintenance duties to ensure that the general upkeep and maintenance of the premises is satisfactory
To organise and carry out minor improvement work e.g. erecting shelves, notice boards, bookshelves etc
