Appointment and progression within the salary bands is dependent upon performance and meeting essential criteria including achievement of required qualification and professional membership.
We currently have an opportunity for a Category Manager to support our Adult Social Care category.
Playing a key role in the development and delivery of the sourcing and supply strategy, you will assist in the management at all stages of the procurement process including undertaking user needs analysis, market research, sourcing activity, structuring tenders, market engagement, tender evaluation, negotiation, and all contractual matters.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Previous experience within a procurement / commercial environment
- A robust commercial outlook with understanding of risk
- Strong numeracy skills with the ability to analyse, interpret and present complex information.
- Experience of stakeholder management, with strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience of Public Sector procurement and commissioning would be desirable.
