King Edward VI College, Stourbridge is a sixth form college and a member of the Heart of Mercia Trust.  As A level specialists, we provide a deep and thorough academic curriculum and help our students to develop excellent independent study skills. Just as important is our broader development curriculum, with almost 100 different clubs, groups and activities operating on a weekly basis, and excellent preparation for careers and HE.  Our students come from a great variety of social and cultural backgrounds, and we take pride in supporting them to form an active and friendly community.

We are looking for a part-time (0.8 FTE) Inclusion Coordinator to join us, who will work flexibly to support teachers to develop inclusive practice and ensure students’ needs are met.

The Inclusion Coordinator forms a key role in coordinating inclusive practice across the college. They will provide pedagogic guidance, supporting teachers to improve their practice and champion the development of inclusive teaching, learning and assessment. They will explore and implement a bespoke package of support for students through workshops, 1-1 tutoring and in-class support to ensure students become active and independent learners. The role will include the coordination of the student’s journey from induction to completion and their next steps.

The College is fully committed to supporting all members of staff through staff development and in-service training.

This is a permanent, part-time (0.8 FTE), term-time only post subject to the conditions of service handbook of the Sixth Form Colleges Association. Salary will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Association support staff pay scale 11 - 15 which is currently £17,652.45 – £19,850.13 per annum for term-time only, based on 0.8 FTE. There is a requirement to work a Monday, but there is flexibility if the candidate would like one day off per week or two half days.
