Deputy Manager Rapid Response/Reablement
Location: Elgar House
Hours: 37
Salary: £23,398 - £27,668
Closing date: 29th September 2017

Rapid Response is a Hereford Council service that is well established and has CQC rating of GOOD. It provides short term urgent domestic care support for vulnerable individuals across the county. As of August 2017 it will also support the provision of a Reablement Service for Herefordshire under the current CQC Management umbrella.

As a result of this exciting new opportunity we need to expand our staff and management structure and are looking to recruit a Deputy Manager who will oversee the day to day running of both services, reporting directly to the current CQC Registered Manager.

The post will work 37 hours a week, Monday – Friday employed on a 3 year fixed term contract. There may be requirements to cover occasional ‘on call’ until 10pm in the evenings and some weekends where there is urgent need.

You must be able to work well within daily operational pressures, have effective communication skills, a good understanding of the differences between care/support and reablement and the ability to lead and support staff through service development.

You will be expected to have experience of staff management and supervision and a good knowledge of CQC standards. You will understand the need for rota management and systems to support this in reablement and domiciliary care.

If you are looking for a position that challenges you, working for a service that is continually evolving to support the people of Herefordshire and that has a reputation for delivering high standards of care and. Then please apply.
