Are you passionate about promoting economic and skills growth?
We're seeking a highly motivated Skills Strategy Programme Manager to join the Skills and Employability Team.
You'll play a key role in developing, designing, and managing high quality employment and skills programmes, informed by economic skills research and analysis, to promote economic and skills growth across Staffordshire.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe post provides a varied workload which will include:
- The commissioning and management of employment & skills programmes ensuring contract compliance, high quality delivery and value for money
- Leading on the development of high-quality employer skills strategies that ensures skills provision meets local employer skills needs and maximises investment in jobs and training.
- Designing and leading on skills and employability projects that support economic and skills growth across Staffordshire and implement and deliver government programmes that support wider economic and skills growth.
- Establishing, developing, and maintaining stakeholder relationships to enable effective partnership working and the promotion of Staffordshire’s employment and skills priorities to shape developing local and national strategies for employment & skills.
- Identifying and securing funding opportunities by developing proposals to promote growth in the economy and skills across Staffordshire.
You will have:
- A degree level qualification or equivalent significant sector experience.
- Experience in project development and management, commissioning provision and collaborating with various stakeholders to achieve results.
- Experience in policy and strategy development
- Proven ability to manage and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
- An understanding of the current challenges facing local government in the economy, skills and employability.
