Telford & Wrekin Council are looking recruit a permanent part time (18.5 hrs) Enforcement Officer to join our busy Revenues team. 

 We are an agile organisation that embraces innovation to address the changing public sector environment, and puts improving the quality of life of all local people at the heart of everything we do.

 We are looking for an ambitious individual to join the Revenues Service of 45 people working together to collect over £267 million of corporate revenues to help the Council provide vital services to Telford & Wrekin residents.

Our team interacts with every one of Telford & Wrekin’s 83,000 domestic and 5,400 commercial properties and we operate all forms of recovery for those customers who can pay and don’t pay. However, we also support and signpost vulnerable residents who are at risk of financial hardship to find a debt resolution.

 

Who are we looking for?

 

  • Someone who has a passion for customer care providing excellent customer service, communication and negotiation skills face to face and over the phone; dealing with a range of customers and making appropriate recovery decisions based on the circumstances for each customer.

 

  • Someone who can prioritise and organise a workload, work under pressure and manage priorities with minimum supervision using their own initiative.

 

  • You will need to be target driven and capable of managing your own workload and conflicting priorities.

 

  • Any experience you have had attending Magistrates Court and dealing with debt.
