Job Details
An opportunity has arisen within Worcester city council’s Environmental operations team. We are looking for 3 experienced street cleaning/grounds maintenance operatives with excellent knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm to help front line services. You will be working to ensure Worcester is a clean, tidy and safe city.
We are looking for operatives with the relevant environmental services experience to join our team on a permanent basis. As part of our Place team the post holder will work on the front line working as part of the place team. Tasks involve litter picking, hedge cutting, strimming, mowing and general grounds maintenance duties.
A key part of the role will be the ability to deliver good customer service to residents of, and visitors to, Worcester city.
The post holder will have good working knowledge of street cleansing activities and health and safety. We are also looking for someone with experience of working in a busy front-line service.
We place a high priority on health and safety, so candidates will need a good understanding of these practices in a work environment.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of and have experience in, grounds maintenance and street cleaning.
A full UK driving licence is required.
The hours of work are 37 per week Monday-Friday
