It is a high performing, oversubscribed school that received a ‘Good’ judgement for ‘Overall Effectiveness’ and an ‘Outstanding’ judgement for ‘Personal Development’ from its most recent Ofsted inspection (September 2019).

We are committed to providing the highest quality of education that enables pupils to excel academically, through the delivery of strong teaching supported by expert subject leads. We pride ourselves on success in developing pupils’ character, so they become socially and emotionally aware, confident young people.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate will provide learning, care and support for pupils with special educational needs to help work towards the outcomes on their education and health care plan (EHCP). This will involve working with the teacher to plan and deliver activities and supporting the pupil with routines, transitions and behaviour management.

It would be beneficial if the candidate has previous experience working as a Learning Support Assistant. The candidate should be able to build positive relationships with pupils, promote high self-esteem, independence, and social inclusion. They will demonstrate and encourage high standards of behaviour and support pupils with their social, emotional, and mental health needs.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Energy, enthusiasm, creativity and talent.
  • Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A desire to make a positive difference to the lives of the pupils, forming strong mutually respectful relationships.
  • Commitment to working as part of a team and in partnership with parents.
  • Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or working with children.
  • Experience delivering a range of interventions that support children’s specific needs.
  • A desire to develop their expertise through further training and CPD.

In return we can offer you:

  • A modern environment for teaching and learning.
  • A positive, welcoming and supportive community of ambitious and dedicated staff, children, parents and governors, where respect and wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
  • The opportunity to work within a talented team of professionals delivering high quality education.
  • Well behaved, friendly pupils who are eager to learn.
  • Excellent induction and a strong commitment to your career and professional development.
  • An opportunity to work in a school that is part of a secure pyramid of schools, working exceptionally closely with feeder first schools and high schools and the Spire Trust Learning Partnership
