Job Details
We currently have a full-time vacancy for a Social Care Advanced Practitioner (AP) in West Bromwich community team within Adult Social Care.
This post is a management role with line management responsibility over Social Care officers and Social Workers in the team. An individual with a strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills is sought to support the day to day management and delivery of the service.
The role requires a range of duties in line with the grade of the job and professional leadership on complex social care issues across Adult Social Care. A strong knowledge and application of the Care Act and other relevant legislations across the whole of adult care is essential. The successful candidate will have had in excess of two years post qualifying Social Work practice and have obtained required qualification in Social Care. You will be required to have a demonstrable experience of autonomous working, proficiency with complex cases, managing competing tensions and a high level of emotional resilience. Evidence of relevant supervisory experience is essential as is the demonstration of leadership qualities.
You must be able to work with a diverse group of individuals and with our partner agencies to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and their carers.
You will be given an induction, appropriate training opportunities and regular supervision with an experienced manager. You will be working in a friendly environment, skilled, diverse and supportive team. We have gone through a recent wage review and currently offer a competitive pay scale in the region.
