Job Details
Trainee Accountant – starting salary £27,711 - £30,060, rising to a current maximum of £46,731 dependent on career progression.
East Staffordshire Borough Council is a modern forward thinking authority providing a wide range of high quality services to its residents and businesses.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our finance team as we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join us at East Staffordshire Borough Council as a trainee accountant to support the day to day delivery of financial support to the Council.
We are looking for a motivated individual willing to undertake and achieve full membership of a CCAB / CIMA qualification and progress at an appropriate rate through the course whilst developing their finance skills.
The successful candidate will assist in the provision of high quality, efficient and effective financial planning, advice and management.
We are looking for somebody who has:
- Experience of working within a financial environment
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particular word, excel, outlook and other IT applications
- Experience of being part of a team
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- A can-do and positive attitude to change
- Has achieved a relevant degree in a finance related subject (minimum 2.2) or in possession of full AAT qualification
- Willing to study and progress at an acceptable rate through the CCAB / CIMA Qualification
