Wednesbury Oak Academy are seeking to appoint a highly dedicated Cleaner to support the site team. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, efficient Cleaner to work as part of the cleaning team. Experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given. This is a great opportunity to work with forward thinking staff and be part of a passionate enthusiastic team.

The successful applicant will;

• be able to provide efficient and effective cleaning support, including ensuring that security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards, in a timely fashion by using the correct methods

• the post holder will be expected to observe safe working practices in carrying out the required duties and ensure that instructions specified are adhered to

• to carry out ad hoc cleaning duties as necessary or as requested by your line manager

• have a basic knowledge/experience of using products and equipment used in cleaning

• have the practical ability in polishing, dusting, cleaning, washing and sweeping

• have proven ability to be able to converse positively with Caretaking/Facilities management and teaching staff

• be able to adopt a flexible approach to the post

• have a broad knowledge of Equal Opportunities

• have knowledge of Health and Safety in relation to cleaning and hygiene
