Are you an experienced leader ready to drive high impact services in waste, transport, and street scene operations? We are seeking a motivated Waste Services Team Manager to oversee our critical, regulated services that directly enhance our community’s cleanliness, safety, and sustainability.

 

About the Role

 

In this role, you’ll lead essential services like household and commercial waste collections, street cleansing, bulky waste, and Council fleet operations.

 

Overseeing the Street Scene Engineering Department, you’ll manage street works, resurfacing projects, and fleet compliance. As the Council’s expert on waste management and transport, you’ll ensure top standards in safety, compliance, and customer service, while driving innovation and efficiency.

 

What We’re Looking For

 

We’re seeking a strategic leader with experience in waste or environmental services, strong regulatory knowledge, and a proven record in managing people, budgets, and performance. Excellent communication skills, commitment to public service, and the ability to lead change are essential.
