We are looking for a senior level professional with a commitment to developing stronger asset management and procurement practices across our portfolio, and a candidate that recognises the significant contribution that Asset Managers can make by identification and exploration of the very best of developing practice in the field.

Reporting directly to the Head of Asset Management you will work with your team to set the agenda for the future management of our assets and commercial growth aspirations, championing our new way of thinking to get everyone on board to review our current systems and processes, propose new options and suggestions relating to asset management, and provide accurate and well-maintained data on asset and non-asset aspects, all of which will lead to a process of continuous improvement in the services we provide.

With experience in either the social housing or commercial property sector, the ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in demand and supply, stock condition and sustainability, funding, financing and value for money.

You will lead a team of experienced managers, maintenance officers and office based staff to deliver a customer focused service which not only meets the needs of our internal and external customers, but in doing so adds value to our organisation and wider society.

You will have been educated to Degree level, hold a relevant building/maintenance professional qualification or have significant contract management experience. Full MCIPS membership (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) is essential along with significant experience of managing multi disciplined teams, high value investment work streams and working knowledge of a responsive repairs environment.

There couldn’t be a better time to join a progressive and forward thinking organisation that operates with a financial head and a social heart. If you view asset management with broad horizons, understand the local area and have a passion for delivering plans that truly align with organisational objectives, then we really would like to hear from you.

Please note we do not accept CVs.

Solihull Community Housing is committed to safeguarding and protecting children, young people and adults at risk and to promoting their welfare and requires all employees and volunteers share this commitment.
