Salary: £21,660 - £23,454 actual salary pro rata (Grade 4, SCP 6-11)
Term Time Only (Plus 5 INSET Days)
Full Time: 37 hours a week, Monday-Friday (8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Thursday and 3.30pm Friday)

Required to start early as soon as possible, SEND Teaching Assistant with Administrative support for 37 hours per week. In addition to supporting EHCP students in the classroom, part of this role will be to support the SENDCo with key administration roles within the faculty including access arrangements.
The main aim of the role is to support students to achieve their full potential by providing targeted support to students within the classroom and SEND Hub, supporting other SEND/SEMH needs and in providing administrative support, mainly related to access arrangements for exams and assessments, updating EHCP’s and adapting resources.
The post holders' responsibilities may also include providing small group or one to one support; general classroom support; the induction of new students into the curriculum to meet the needs of these newly arrived students -particularly supporting their academic, social and emotional and physical needs. Supporting with EHCP and other related SEND/SEMH administration and access arrangements. This also includes developing resources for example for visually impaired students and liaising with teaching staff and the SENDCo in the development and delivery of a differentiated curriculum to meet the of SEND students.

You should have:
- Practical skills and expertise as outlined in the Job description including GCSE Maths and English at least at grade 4 or equivalent
- Excellent Administrative skills
- Knowledge and understanding of examination rules and access arrangements
- Experience of differentiating resources including adapting resources e.g. for visually impaired students
- A passion and vision for working with students in their personal, social and emotional needs as well as their academic development
- The ability to stimulate curiosity, interest and enjoyment in learning
- Confidence in dealing with students across different age ranges particularly Key Stage 3 and 4
- Creative skills and a professional approach
- The determination to support in raising student achievement
- Team-working skills
- Good inter-personal and communication skills with students, colleagues and parents
- An understanding of the importance of Safeguarding.
