35 hours per week
We are looking for somebody with strong information and records management knowledge and skills to support, develop and improve the way the Council manages information. This role will establish, manage and maintain a programme for effective records management including electronic records, records retention and disposal, and selection of records in all formats for permanent preservation.
You will be part of the wider Corporate Information Management Unit (CIMU) and will also work periodically with the Information Governance and Compliance Manager in the development of policies, standards and best practices. You will be responsible for a small team who deliver physical records services for the Council.
You need to:
• have considerable experience working as a professional records or information manager providing support, guidance, and advice to colleagues;
• be an excellent and effective communicator to a wide variety of audiences including front line staff, senior management, and outside our organisation;
• be able to work accurately, consistently, and with good attention to detail;
• possess a track record of delivering results within deadlines.
