Science Technician - The Telford Park School

Science Technician – NJC Grade 5 Scale point 12 - 16

30hrs per week  (Term time plus 1 week 44.85 weeks)

Required from ASAP.

An exciting opportunity has become available at our state of the art school. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly-motivated and experienced Science Technician.

The successful candidate will lead by example and will assist with the smooth running of the department by providing assistance with preparation of materials, equipment and chemicals for lessons, mounting and displaying work, maintenance of relevant machinery and equipment, constructing science apparatus and stock control.

The successful candidate must have:

• GCSE 5 A* - C or equivalent, including science 

• Excellent administrative and ICT skills

• Preferably have experience working in a school

• Have Health and Safety experience and training

• Enjoy working with students and teaching professionals

• Be prepared to develop their skills, undergo professional development.
