FTC/ Secondment until 01/11/2026
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Benefits team.
You will be assessing claims for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction and whilst experience would be desirable, we are willing to accept applications from candidates with a willingness to learn and understand the complex rules which govern the schemes.
Experience of Benefits would be desirable but full training will be given to the successful applicant.
Essential qualities for the position are excellent communication skills and a willingness to undertake a variety of tasks including examining Benefit claim forms and documents and corresponding with official bodies.
Applicants must have a minimum of 4 GCSE / O level passes (Grade A – C) including English language and Mathematics or equivalent and good computer skills.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to Basic DBS disclosure.
The intention is for the postholder to work from home. However, office and hybrid working is also available. Whilst home working is offered for this role, it is a requirement that the successful candidate be available to attend meetings at our offices within Warwick District when required. Any costs for travel from home to the office will be met by the successful candidate.
