SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant to work five days part time.
(25 hours per week), 8:45am – 12:15pm 1:15 until 2:45 Monday to Friday
Starting on the 6th January 2025. This is a temporary contract until the end of July 2025.
Tied to EHCP hours of child leaving in July
Salary: £24,027 FTE Actual salary: £13,660
The successful candidate will:
- Support individual pupils on a one-to-one basis or in a small group to develop their social skills allowing them to access the curriculum within a mainstream class.
- Have a positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job.
- Demonstrate the ability to use initiative.
- Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development.
We are a small Catholic primary school with mixed age year groups. Our staff and children are welcoming, motivated and hardworking. We offer a supportive working environment.
The successful applicant will be required to work under the direct instruction of class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to support children’s learning on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. The post will be based in KS2.
