Lunchtime Supervisor
NJC Scale 1 point 2, £5309 per annum
Hours: Part time 11.30am – 1.30pm Monday to Friday, 10 hours per week
Term of contract: Permanent

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisor in our small, friendly village school to ensure, individually or part of a team, the welfare and safety of all children during lunch times.
Key accountabilities:
- To supervise children on school premises and grounds.
- To supervise children who use catering facilities at the school.
- To use initiative in monitoring events occurring on the school premises and grounds.
- To report any relevant matters or dangers to the Headteacher/Teacher in Charge/Office Manager.
- To ensure a safe environment (e.g. by reporting broken glass)
- To undertake first aid as needed.
- To help children partake of food when necessary.
- To undertake ancillary duties as necessary (i.e. setting up and clearing away tables, cleaning tables and dining area).
- To watch for intruders on the site during periods of duty.
- To maintain personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage and support staff in their development and training.
- To undertake health and safety duties commensurate with the post and/or as detailed in the Directorate’s Health and Safety Policy.
Hours of work will be daily throughout the school term. The ideal candidate will be flexible, organised and able to work on their own initiative.

The successful candidate will need to undertake an enhanced criminal record check DBS, formerly CRB, medical clearance and suitable references.
