Job Details
This could be the role for you. An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within a friendly and supportive team as a Revenues Officer. Come and be part of our team who are responsible for the administration and collection of Council Tax and Business Rates. You will need exceptional verbal and written communication skills. You will also need to be comfortable dealing with members of the public and businesses alike. It is a demanding role. You will be accurately processing high volumes of work to deadlines. It means you will need excellent organisational, numerical, negotiating and literacy skills. You will be updating customer records and processing them in accordance with legislation. Experience of working in a team environment is essential, but we are also looking for someone who can use their own initiative. Experience of working for local government is desirable. You must upload a Supporting Statement via the attachments part of your application. This is required for shortlisting; you need to describe how your experience and skills fit the essential criteria for the role as specified in the Person Specification. If you do not attach your Supporting Statement, your application will not be considered.
This position will have an element of hybrid working and will combine working from home and working in the office.
Flexible approach to working hours, able to work outside normal office hours if necessary. 5pm phone cover needed on a rota basis.
