 Start Date: 1st January 2025 or as soon after

Salary: SC4 point 7 – 11 Min - £25,584 FTE / £22, 473 actual. Max - £27,269.00 FTE / £23,953 actual.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:15am – 4:15pm) Monday – Friday – Term Time only plus 5 TE days

Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we have an exciting opportunity for a permanent School Administrator to join our experienced and committed team from January 2025.

St Luke’s is a one form entry school set in the heart of the Redditch community. As a Church of England school, we promote Christian values as part of our curriculum. Our ethos, vision and values reflect those of the Local Authority and Diocese of Worcestershire. We are due to join the Endeavour Schools Trust on 1st January 2025 and be a part of this family of local first schools.

Job Purpose:

  1. To organise and provide school administrative services to ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the school in support of the Senior Leadership Team by: -
    • Leading, supporting and co-ordinating the work of the administrative staff in the school.
    • To provide administrative support for Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher.
    • To process pupil admissions, exclusions and transfers.
    • To be the point of contact for the school in the school office 
  2. Work consists of a variety of advanced tasks requiring detailed knowledge and specialist skills. 
  3. Creativity is a feature of the job but exercised within the general framework of recognised procedures.
  4. Contact with people relates to issues which are generally not contentious but where the outcome may not be straightforward. Advice or guidance provided to others within the school relates to issues that are less well establishes.
  5. Work within clearly defined rules and procedures involving decisions chosen from a range of established alternatives.
  6. Have shared responsibility for accurate handling and security of cash, cheques or financial resources.
  7. Work is subject to deadlines involving changing problems, circumstances or demand.

St Luke’s C of E First School pupils, staff and governors are looking for a School Administrator who;

  • Has NVQ Level 3 equivalent qualification or experience relating to the role
  • Has excellent English/Maths skills
  • Has excellent inter personal skills
  • Has the ability to work well under pressure
  • Is organised and efficient, and is able to prioritise tasks
  • Has the ability to support staff/pupils and respond effectively to parents/carers
  • Can use specialist ICT packages/resources effectively • Has the ability to organise, lead and motivate other staff
  • Has the ability to plan and develop systems
  • Has the ability to work well with and relate to children and adults
  • Can work effectively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and their own position within these. Has a willingness to get involved with the whole school community
