St John’s CE Primary Academy Stafford – Casual Janitor
St John’s CE Primary Academy wishes to appoint a Casual Janitor to join our school team. We are looking for someone who is motivated to take pride in looking after our school building and grounds, and is dedicated to providing the best environment for our children and staff.
The role is to cover for the Site Technician on a casual basis for holiday and sickness absence, or to provide additional support where required, in both term time and school holiday time.
The role will involve being a key holder, including for emergency call-outs.
Main duties to include, opening and closing the premises, general maintenance, liaising with staff and contractors and ensuring a safe site and compliance with health and safety regulations. Other duties to be agreed on an ad-hoc basis and training will be given where appropriate.
The shift patterns to be covered are Monday to Friday 7am to 9am and 3pm to 6pm (plus potentially some later locking up for an evening letting).
The hourly rate of pay is NJC Grade 2, £13.95.
The position will be to start as soon as possible in January, on completion of all pre-employment checks.
