SEND Teaching Assistant Grade 4
25 Hours per Week: Monday to Friday 9.00am – 3.00pm (Term Time Only)
Contract: Permanent

The Role
If you have a calm, positive approach and previous special needs experience, we would love to hear from you!
We are seeking to appoint a SEND teaching assistant to support our SEND children as follows:
- Support individual children and small groups
- Lead interventions such as speech and language, lego therapy, zones of regulation, phonics and maths
- Be proactive and flexible in supporting children’s needs
- Work closely with the SENCO to deliver a personalised programme of support to meet targets
- Provide close supervision at playtimes and lunchtimes
- Support and maintain positive links between home and school by making parents feel welcome
- Work collaboratively with external agencies to draw upon skills, knowledge and recommendations to help support the child
- Support children’s personal care and needs, including communication, by following the Education Health Care Plan, and undergoing any relevant training
- The successful applicant will be required to work to meet the requirements set out in the pupils Education Health Care Plan

Person Specification:
You will need:
- GCSE or equivalent level in English and Maths to Grade 4/Grade C
- Level 3 TA qualification, or equivalent
- Experience of working with special needs children
- Experience of planning and delivering learning activities
