The Children and Young Peoples’ Travel Service (CYPTS) provide 6,000 children and young people for whom without transport provision would not be able to attend education.
Primarily, as a Travel Operations Officer, you will undertake transport route inspections and audits on site, addressing safety standard concerns alongside maintaining legal and contractual obligations. You will also support contract management and data management to ensure overall compliance, with the potential of supporting route planning and the administration of 1000 routes operating across the city of Birmingham. A very varied role!
You’ll will work closely with schools and our transport service providers to give our children and families a first-class service.
You’ll have a good understanding of the challenges faced by children and young people with special educational need and their families. Using your skills in compliance management, information gathering, great communication and achieving positive resolutions, you’ll put children and families at the heart of what you do.
As a Travel Operations Officer, the role will offer hybrid working with a daily requirement to travel to Service Provider sites and educational establishments within Birmingham and other counties within England where CYPTS operates. Additional travelling on school routes will be conducted as required.
