Leisure Centre Duty Manager

Grade H - £15.58 per hour (excluding holiday pay), casual contract, hours of work will include evenings and weekends.
Are you a passionate swimming teacher looking to progress to the next stage of your career?
We are looking for a dedicated swimming teacher who is ready to take on extra responsibilities to assist in the day-to-day running of the Leisure Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the Leisure Centre in the Manager’s absence, ensuring that it is run safely and efficiently and supervising the use of facilities by the public.
This position requires strong customer service skills, numeracy skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You should be comfortable leading a small team of swimming teachers, receptionists and lifeguards, including overseeing reception, payments, bookings and administration. You will need to comply with health and safety policies, risk assessments, fire procedures and emergency action procedures, and will be responsible locking up the premises and ensuring the building is secure.
This role includes responsibility for the operation and maintenance of the electrical, disinfection, filtration, ventilation and circulation systems and general mechanics of the plant room.
You will also need to cover poolside duties and teach swimming lessons when required.
It is essential that you have the following qualifications:
RLSS UK NPLQ Pool Plant Operator First Aid at Work
It is desirable that you have Swimming Teacher qualifications, either Swim England Level 1 and 2 or STA Award and Certificate
