Job Details
We are looking for a skilled HGV Technician to join our busy workshop.
- 4.5 days per week – 37 hours per week
- No weekend or bank holidays working
- Call out allowance - £3,900 per annum
- Multiple roles available in Coleshill or Warwick
Role Overview:
As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and repairs on a wide range of commercial vehicles including emergency vehicles. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring our vehicles are maintained to the highest standards to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance, inspections, MOT preparations, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs.
- Diagnose faults and carry out the necessary repairs, ensuring vehicles are roadworthy.
- Work with diagnostic equipment to identify electrical, mechanical, and technical issues.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times.
- Keep accurate records of work completed, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
- Ensure all work is carried out efficiently and within specified timeframes.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Skills and Experience Required:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent qualification (HGV).
- Previous experience working as an HGV Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HGV systems, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
- A full driving license (HGV license is desirable but not essential).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
