1:1 Teaching Assistant in EYS

Job Start Date: 6th January

Contract Length (end date): 1 term initially with opportunity to extend

Salary: TA2 scale 5, £21,775.56 per annum

37 hours per week 

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant (initially for one term) to join our vibrant school community. In this role, you will work closely with a child with Special Educational, supporting their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to the child, tailoring your approach to their unique needs • Assist the child with learning activities, helping them stay focused and engaged
• Develop social skills through play and the EYFS curriculum.
• Promote the child's academic progress and support their special educational needs
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other professionals to ensure the child's success
• Maintain clear communication with parents/carers and contribute to the child's progress reviews

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and/or adults with special needs
• Experience of working within the EYFS age range
• A desire to work with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Initiative to move learning on, and safeguard the children, without supervision from class teacher
• Support the delivery of a personalized adapted curriculum to ensure high quality learning experiences
• Patience, flexibility, and a caring, supportive approach
• Ability to adapt your teaching methods to meet the child's individual needs

Desirable Qualities:

• Experience of working within EYFS and early reading and maths
• Energetic and highly motivated to support children's learning
• Commitment to creating a nurturing and inclusive environment
• Team Teach or an alternative positive handling training
