This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and outstanding academy. Are you passionate about education and ready to make a positive impact on students’ lives? We are seeking a dedicated Whole School Attendance Officer to join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring all our students can thrive through consistent attendance. The daily working hours for this post are 8.00 am to 16:00 pm Monday to Friday.

    a strong understanding of attendance regulations and safeguarding policies? excellent organisational and administrative skills? the ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff? experience working in a school or similar environment? confidence in using IT systems and software for data management and reporting?

Duties to include but not exclusive to:

    monitor and analyse attendance records across the school to identify patterns and areas for improvement. work with students and families to address barriers to attendance, offering support and guidance. liaise with teachers, senior leaders, and external agencies to ensure effective attendance interventions. maintain accurate records and produce regular attendance reports for school leadership.

Candidates will need to meet the requirements of the person specification. To comply with KCSIE Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and Disclosure and Barring Services.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.

The successful candidate will be subject to necessary pre-employment checks, including: an enhanced DBS; Childcare Disqualification (where applicable); qualifications (where applicable); medical fitness; identity and right to work.  All applicants will be required to provide two suitable references.
