The Governors wish to appoint a Federation Caretaker as soon as possible.

Federation Caretaker Grade 5 £19,430 - £22,658 pro rata to hours worked (Actual £15,754- £18,371)
30 hours per week – whole year
Rotating shift pattern - Monday – Thursday within the period – 6.30 am – 6.30 pm
Friday within the period 6.30 am – 6 pm
Governors are seeking to appoint, as soon as possible, a reliable and practical individual with a “can do” attitude to work across the Federation sites. Some previous experience of working within a School environment would be preferable. However, this is not essential as training will be provided. The successful candidate will support the Head of Business Strategy and Federation Site Manger to provide a safe and effective learning environment which operates efficiently. Responsibilities cover general caretaking duties including opening and closing the premises, basic maintenance and repairs, waste management, emergency call outs and health and safety checks. Duties will also include ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and security is maintained to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the Federation premises.
The successful candidate will need to be fit and able to cope with physically challenging duties and have good communication skills and be ready to deal with a variety of situations. The site team need to work flexibly to cover holidays or absence within the team. There may be a requirement to undertake training to keep abreast of current requirements.
This is a part time, whole year, post and the successful candidate will be expected to work a rotating shift pattern Monday to Thursday – 6.30 am – 6.30 pm and Friday 6.30 am – 6 pm. Holidays are to be taken during school holiday periods. Please note this is a 30 hour full year contract. Additional hours may become available elsewhere within the Federation undertaking other duties.
