Bromsgrove District Council and Redditch Borough Council are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Graduate Climate Change Officer to join our team and play a key role in our commitment to environmental sustainability.
What you'll do:
- Develop and implement climate change policies and strategies to reduce carbon emissions and promote resource efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to achieve our sustainability goals.
- Monitor and report on progress against key environmental targets.
- Provide expert advice on energy management, affordable warmth, and climate change mitigation.
- Raise awareness of environmental issues within the community and beyond.
What you'll need:
- A degree in Sustainability or a related field (e.g., Regeneration, Economic Growth, Energy, Environmental Studies).
- A genuine passion for environmental sustainability and climate change.
- Strong project management and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- A confident and proactive approach, with a commitment to delivering results.
