32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday
Term time only
£12.65 per hour
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic School Sport Teaching Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality Physical Education (PE) and School Sport within our educational setting. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for Physical Education and a dedication to working with children and young people.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of PE lessons and school sports activities, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Lead and supervise breakfast, dinner, and after-school clubs related to sports and physical activities.
- Support the planning and organisation of intra and inter-school competitions, fostering the school's commitment to equality and diversity.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate physical activity into classroom learning during non-PE lesson times. Provide additional support in classrooms when there are no PE lessons scheduled, ensuring a conducive learning environment.
Requirements:
- A keen interest in Physical Education and working with children and young people.
- Relevant experience or qualifications in sports coaching, physical education, or a related field is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students in physical activities.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the school schedule.
- Commitment to promoting equality and diversity within the school community.
