TA2 Scale 3 points 5 – 6. Salary: FTE £24,790 - £25,183 ( £12.85 - £13.05 per hour) reduced proportionality for part time  hours

North Worcester Primary Academy is an impressive free school run by the highly regarded Rivers C of E Academy Trust, specialists in early years and primary provision. We are looking for two teaching assistants who would be expected to support class teachers across the primary range, so should have strong literacy and numeracy skills and experience of working with children in an education setting. Initially, one of these roles would be to support EYFS and KS1 and the other role would be for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with SEND - please state this on your application form.

Previous experience in working in an educational setting Good understanding of supporting behaviour in a nurturing environment Able to work with children 1:1, including children with additional needs Able to work in the whole class environment Good interpersonal skills Flexible and creative Positive and hard working Understanding of how children learn and develop Understanding to differing children’s needs Desirable – experience in running after school or holiday clubs.  

Your responsibilities will include:

• Aiding pupils with special needs to access all subjects of the national curriculum and encourage their independence as learners Assisting teacher and pupils Working with pupils on an individual or group basis as required by the class teacher Assisting in offsite visits Motivating and encouraging pupils to behave well in and around school Meeting the physical and/or hygiene needs of pupils as required Supporting children at lunchtime
