The Governors of Hamstead Junior School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic School Secretary to join our team. The post is for term time only, 9:00am to 11:00am and 12:00pm to 3:30pm.
This is an opportunity for an experienced secretary with excellent communication skills to join our small friendly office team.
Responsibilities will include using SMIS system and modules.
The successful candidate will be in charge of ordering school dinners and collecting payment from parents for these dinners.
You will be in charge of collecting and recording money for school visits.
You may be in charge of the provision of milk in school and printing class registers.
You will have reception duties and will deal with queries from parents, pupils, staff and visitors.
You will also raise purchase orders and record deliveries.
You will produce documentation such as letters and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office.
You will monitor daily registers/attendance.
You will open the daily post and direct it accordingly.
You will also complete any other general administration duties as directed by the office manager.
You will need to demonstrate communication skills, flexibility to manage deadlines in a busy office.
Experience of school databases such as SIMS.net and FMS is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.
