Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Grade:                                   7 (£21,962 – pro rata)

The creation of a Higher Level Teaching Assistants at Woodcroft provides the opportunity for the successful candidate to complement the professional work of teaching staff by taking responsibility for designated learning activities with pupils, including planning and covering PPA, interventions and management release time.

The HLTA will also be responsible for the further organisation and development of a specified school improvement area.

As a HLTA you will: -

•Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils.
•Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our children.
•Be supportive, nurturing and understanding with high expectations.
•Seek to make learning exciting and a positive experience.

•Demonstrate good communication skills both orally and written.
•Work well as part of a team;

•Meet the HLTA standards and/or have or be working towards your NVQ level 4 for Teaching    Assistants   

•Be willing to contribute to school life outside of the classroom.
