Children’s Services Participation Apprentice

Apprenticeship: Youth Support Worker Level: 3 (equivalent to A Level)

Pay Rate: £9.84 per hour - paid monthly

Full time: 37 hours per week

Duration: 24 months

An opportunity has arisen for a Care Experienced Young Person to undertake a full time Apprenticeship within Children’s Services.

A Telford and Wrekin Council Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to earn a real salary and gain a real qualification whilst gaining valuable workplace skills and experience.

If you're aged 16 plus and interested in starting a career with the Council, perhaps looking for your first job after leaving school or college. You will combine work with studying, working towards achieving nationally recognised qualifications while gaining valuable skills and practical experience. 

Apprenticeships are available if you are over the age of 16, not in full-time education and living in England.  

If you hold a degree you will be eligible for an apprenticeship at any level, however the apprenticeship must provide you with substantive new skills, you must be able to evidence that the content of the training is materially different from any prior qualification or apprenticeship

As a team member, you will work under the instruction / guidance of a manager to undertake work.

You will be studying for Level 3 Youth Support Worker Level Qualification. The successful applicant must be over 16 and eligible for apprenticeships in England. 

The apprenticeship content will be tailored to suit the tasks you will be doing in your day to day work and you will receive support and guidance in building a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate your ability in the workplace.
