Safety & Resilience Officer

£27,668 - £31,601

Rugby Borough Council is centralising and expanding its Safety & Resilience Team.  This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team which will be driving behavioural change to ensure excellence in health, safety and welfare of employees and provide assurance on health and safety standards.  In addition, you will support business continuity and emergency planning to ensure resilience of the unit.

Your main focus will be to support the audits of local managers’ health and safety management and liaise with the appropriate manager to ensure that issues are addressed within an appropriate time frame.

Work in partnership with the new Safety & Resilience Team you will help develop best practice, such as monitoring of behaviours and cultures, while ensuring that we can still get the job done (risk aware not risk averse).

If you have experience and passion for health and safety and have an ability to influence, champion and challenge behaviours to promote excellence in health, safety and welfare at work, as well as an interest in becoming involved in emergency planning and business continuity then this is the next job for you.

For an informal discussion about this role, please call Theresa Summers, our Safety and Resilience Manager on 01788 533893.
