Job Details

Wyre Forest District Council is looking for a dynamic and experienced Principal Planning Officer to lead and oversee the formulation and implementation of policies and strategies related to planning for our District and the review on the Local Plan which was adopted in 2022. 
This is your opportunity to make a significant impact, working on housing, employment and rural policies to help shape the environment, meet the needs of our residents and business and to ensure sustainable growth.  
As a Principal Planning Policy Officer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, engage with stakeholders and utilise your expertise to lead on plan-making whilst also supporting the Development Management function. You will also directly line manage a small team of policy officers.
Wyre Forest District Council has an up-to-date Development Plan with a 5-year housing land supply and are looking forward to meet the requirements of the new NPPF.
