The Primrose Centre itself acts as the Primary Provision for both permanently and preventative excluded children in Sandwell. We are very proud of the work we do at The Primrose Centre and it is essential we recruit a motivated individual who shares our vision and can join us on our journey.
We are seeking to appoint a Family & Pupil Support Worker and are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic person who can bring new knowledge and skills to the service.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop this key role and work alongside our specialist staff team.
As an inspirational support worker, applicants will have the energy and vision to work with our pupils and their families to overcome the barriers to learning.
The ideal candidate will:
- provide support to pupils and their families
- work in partnership with professionals
- encourage the involvement of parents and carers in the school
- provide early intervention and preventative support for families and pupils
- have the ability to engage and inspire pupils
- assist in tackling underachievement in the most disadvantaged children
- attend safeguarding meetings and other meetings, as appropriate
- be adaptable and a committed team player
- be committed to The Primrose’s ethos of high expectations
- be willing to play a full part in the life of the school
All staff are committed to putting the pupils first, ensuring they achieve in all aspects of their learning. The successful candidate will have a keen interest in the welfare of young people, a good communicator who can encourage good relations and effective dialogue between parents and carers and teachers and external agencies.
The school provides a continuation of Education for pupils who, due to medical, psychological or psychiatric difficulties, are unable to attend their mainstream school.

Online Search

Hours: 32.5 hrs per week, Term Time plus 5 training days
Monday to Thursday 8.30 to 3.30 and Friday 8.30 to 3.00.
