At Ridgeway Primary Academy, our children are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage them to be ‘Open to Possibilities’ and  believe that ‘Anything is Possible’ as they strive to achieve their best outcomes in all areas, whatever their personal starting points may be.

Ridgeway is a successful 2 form entry primary school in Chasetown. We currently have 410 pupils on roll in the main school and a further 200 children accessing Early Years provision in our term time Ridgeway Tots twos group and Sunbeams Nursery and Sunny Days Nursery, which is open all year.

Ridgeway Primary Academy has an excellent reputation and provides a lively and creative environment in which to work.  School received a further ‘Good’ rating from OFSTED at our last inspection in January 2022 and Sunny Days in July 2024.  Ridgeway Primary Academy is one of the founding schools in the Primitas Learning Partnership, a cross phase MAT serving the local area which opened in September 2021. Currently there are seven schools within the partnership; two high schools, four primary schools and a special school. The Trust provides opportunities for the schools to work collaboratively to support school improvement.

We are looking to recruit a conscientious and innovative Nursery Teacher to join a team of highly motivated staff in our large, popular and friendly school.

We need a committed, enthusiastic and talented individual with a passion for Early Years education who:

  • Demonstrates high expectations of the children’s achievement and behaviour and a commitment to provide consistently effective teaching.
  • Is able to plan, teach and assess different groups and abilities and monitor and evaluate their progress.
  • Understands the importance of children’s physical, mental and emotional wellbeing and be proactive in supporting children.
  • Is brimming with ideas and enthusiasm and has excellent subject knowledge of the EYFS curriculum.
  • Is committed to their own personal and professional development.
  • Is willing to contribute to the life of the school and its community and to go over and above to make great things happen for our children.

In return we can offer you:

  • A positive environment in which to work where children are enthusiastic and eager to learn.
  • Dedicated, friendly, supportive and highly motivated colleagues who strive to provide the highest quality of teaching for our pupils.
  • A commitment to continuing your professional development.
  • A highly supportive Governing Board and staff team who work hard to ensure children achieve the very best outcomes both academically and socially.
  • Access to free counselling services.
  • Access to healthcare scheme. Access to free gym membership.

If you feel you have the necessary skills and attributes, are highly motivated and dedicated to making a positive difference to children’s lives then we would love to hear from you.
