Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant Level 3/Grade 4

15 Hours per Week: Monday to Friday 9.00am – 12.00pm (Term Time Only)

The Role

We are seeking to appoint a teaching assistant who:

• supports individual children and small groups so they can ‘reach for success’
• develops positive relationships with children grounded in mutual respect
• with support from the class teacher, leads intervention small intervention groups
• is proactive and flexible in supporting children’s needs
• provides supervision at playtimes
• works collaboratively with external agencies to draw upon skills, knowledge and recommendations to help support children as needed
• is committed to their own professional learning

• is committed to safeguarding and demonstrate a high level of inclusivity within working practice and actively seek to remove barriers to learning

Please note, whilst there may be the possibility of additional hours, this role is for 15 hours only.

Person Specification:

You will need:

• GCSE or equivalent level in English and Maths to Grade 4/Grade C
• Level 3 TA qualification, or equivalent
• Experience of working with special needs children
• Experience of planning and delivering learning activities
