Job Details
We are seeking to appoint a skilled, passionate and committed learning support practitioner to join our school working across early years and year 1. The role will involve supporting the education of pupils with complex social, emotional, mental health and/or learning needs from April 2025 or sooner.
The successful candidate will:
- Have specialist knowledge and experience of supporting the learning and development of pupils with behaviours and needs which are frequently associated with a wide range of complex conditions, including ASC, ADHD, emotional dysregulation and Attachment Disorder.
- Have a depth of understanding, knowledge and experience of working with children with complex communication needs.
- Demonstrate an unwavering determination to create positive learning experiences for the most vulnerable children.
- Prioritise supporting care, communication and support of pupils needs.
- Have a good understanding and practice of how to adapt the environment, teaching style, resources, use the Sandwell Learning Ladder or Hierarchy of Independence and use Widget resources
- Have a commitment to working as part of a team and sharing good practice.
- Have a positive outlook, energy and good communication skills.
