We are seeking to appoint a SEN Support Assistant to help our pupils who experience specific difficulties with their studies.
The successful candidate must be able to:
- Support a range of pupils in overcoming difficulties in learning in classroom and small group situations
- Respond to pupils in a positive way
- Use initiative and work independently
- Keep written records
- Liaise with staff, parents and other agencies
- Supervise groups of students as necessary
Experience of supporting pupils with visual impairment; behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, physical disabilities and/or English as an additional language would be beneficial.
The candidate must, ideally, have experience in delivering intervention programmes in areas such as:
- Literacy
- Numeracy
- Speech language and communication
- Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
