31.25 hours term time only

We are seeking to appoint a SEN Support Assistant to help our pupils who experience specific difficulties with their studies.

The successful candidate must be able to:

  • Support a range of pupils in overcoming difficulties in learning in classroom and small group situations
  • Respond to pupils in a positive way
  • Use initiative and work independently
  • Keep written records
  • Liaise with staff, parents and other agencies
  • Supervise groups of students as necessary

Experience of supporting pupils with visual impairment; behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, physical disabilities and/or English as an additional language would be beneficial.

The candidate must, ideally, have experience in delivering intervention programmes in areas such as:

  • Literacy
  • Numeracy
  • Speech language and communication
  • Social, emotional and mental health difficulties
